Immer, a pre-seed startup, set to launch in 2024 was created to help the live event entertainment industry via a platform that enabled entertainers with tools to manage and create events seamlessly, delivering only the best for their audience.

Background

The entertainment industry has been prey to mass robot ticket buying and price gouging for a couple of years now. Immer aimed to cut that down by providing its own, party-verified platform that would allow entertainers, users, and venues to collaborate and allow for affordable ticket pricing

Immer aims to cut out the middle man and allow entertainers the flexibility and reliability to be able to deliver the best to their audience.

Research & Planning

We relied on competitive analysis to shape our design systems while also making sure that they were consistent with the platform's already implemented designs. Our team took the task of researching other companies, gathering inspiration and valuable insights into their flows, design, and their decisions.

I performed an extensive sweep on the current market and its methods of onboarding, watching their flows and navigation maps, and gathering inspiration to ensure that we hit our design goals and ideation properly.

Key Takeaways

  • All onboarding screens researched were simple and easy to understand

  • Got to the main point fast and gave a quick overlay of the application

  • Used icons in places of text to convey ideas and messagesbetter

Persona

We decided to go ahead and craft a persona. Personas help distill research findings into relatable representations of your target audience. By defining a persona, you concentrate on user motivations, goals, and challenges, ensuring that the design addresses real needs.

Competitive Analysis

In analyzing the event management platform landscape, several competitors offer notable features in onboarding and multi-platform sharing:

Task Flow

In my live event management app project, we created an intuitive onboarding flow that guides users through setup, highlighting the app’s features and benefits. Key elements include a welcome message, a quick tour, and a personalized event creation walkthrough, all designed to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
